A Brief History:
Bangladesh Security Printing Press (BSPP) is a unit office of the Department of Printing and Publications under the Ministry of Public Administration, GOB. ‘‘Bangladesh Security Printing Press’’ started functioning at the erstwhile Provincial Stationery Office building, taking a few machinery and employees of B.G. Press. Then start all sorts of security print requirement were imposed to the new unit office. Since then this press has been catering all sorts of security & non-security instruments required by the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and its various govt., semi-Government and Autonomous bodies. Total manpower of BSPP is now 176. Of them 4 are officer and 172 are employee. The press is comprised of 9 main functional units.

Outlines of Work:
a. To compute and compile the demand for CGA Cheque to print against Audit offices.
b. This press to print CGDF Cheque.
c. BSPP also print Different kinds of Security & Non-Security Printing documents against the Government, Semi-Government, and Autonomous bodies.
d. To Print all type of national saving certificates, Wage earner development bond for National Savings Division.
e. Different kinds of Cheque to print of various Bank.
f. To Print Different denomination of Postal Order of Bangladesh Postal Department.
g. Different kinds of Certificate, Mark Sheet & Other's secure document to print of various Public University, Medical University, Different Education Board's, Madrasa Education Board and Homoeopathic Board.
h. Also print Telivision License format of BTV.
i. To Print and supply Dhaka City Corporation Trade Licence Book & Riksha/Van Token etc.
j. Urgent Election printing work to print against Election Commission Secretariat.
k. This press also prints and supply different standard and nonstandard forms as per demands of Bangladesh Form's & Publication's Office.
